- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon strawberry extract
- Pink food coloring (optional)
- Garnish:

Instructions
- Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Coat three 9-inch round cake pans with grease and flour.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Whisk until blended.
- Beat the softened butter in a separate bowl until creamy. Gradually add eggs, mixing well. Add buttermilk, vanilla, and strawberry extract. Mix well, adding red food coloring if desired.
- Integrate the dry mixture with the wet mixture gently and pour the batter into the pans. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
- Cool cakes in pans for 10 minutes, then turn onto wire racks to cool completely. Prepare frosting by beating butter until creamy, then add powdered sugar, heavy cream, vanilla, and strawberry extract. Beat until smooth, adding pink food coloring if desired.
- Assemble cake layers with frosting between each, covering the outside with frosting. Decorate with strawberries and pearls.
Notes
- Butter Temperature: Ensure your butter is properly softened to achieve a smoother batter and a fluffier cake.
- Color Tinting: Adjust the amount of food coloring based on your desired shade; remember, a little goes a long way for a subtle look.
- Storage Tips: Keep any leftover cake in an airtight container. Refrigerate if adding fresh strawberries as a garnish to maintain freshness.
