- 8 chicken drumsticks (skin-on for flavor)
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- Fresh rosemary or parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Start by patting the chicken drumsticks dry with paper towels.
- In a separate mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, paprika, dried thyme, dried rosemary, salt, black pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes. Stir until blended.
- Pour the seasoning mixture over the chicken drumsticks and toss until evenly coated.
- Layer the sliced onions at the bottom of the crock pot.
- Arrange the seasoned chicken legs in a single layer over the onions.
- Cover and cook on Low for 6–7 hours or on High for 3.5–4 hours.
- If desired, broil the chicken for 3–5 minutes for crispy skin.
- Plate the drumsticks and garnish with fresh rosemary or parsley.
Notes
For maximum flavor, marinate the chicken legs overnight in the seasoning mix.
