- 1 egg yolk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup + 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (177°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened unsalted butter and 1/3 cup granulated sugar. Cream until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg yolk and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Form dough into 1-inch balls and roll in granulated sugar.
- Place on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes.
- Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Use room temperature butter for best results.
