Description
This wreath-shaped pizza combines festive flavors and a delightful presentation!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pizza dough (store-bought or homemade), shaped into a wreath
- ½ cup pizza sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella
- ½ cup fresh mozzarella balls (Bocconcini), halved
- ½ cup halved cherry tomatoes
- A handful of fresh basil leaves
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Seasonings:
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Optional Garnishes:
- Grated Parmesan cheese
- Red chili flakes
- Pomegranate seeds (for a festive pop)
Instructions
- Start your Wreath Pizza adventure by preheating your oven to a sizzling 475°F (245°C).
- Next, take your pizza dough and place it on a floured surface. Roll out the dough into a large circle, making sure it’s evenly flattened, approximately a 12-inch round. To create the wreath shape, place a small bowl in the center and carefully cut around it, removing the inner part to form your pizza.
- Spread the pizza sauce generously over the shaped dough, leaving about a 1-inch border along the edge.
- Strategically place the halved mozzarella balls and cherry tomatoes around the wreath.
- Drizzle olive oil over the top, then sprinkle with oregano, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper to taste.
- Carefully transfer it to your preheated oven and let it bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
- Once your Wreath Pizza has cooked to perfection, remove it from the oven and let it cool slightly. Garnish as desired and slice to serve.
Notes
For best results, let your homemade dough rise properly before shaping.
