Description
If you’re on the lookout for a delightful and hearty meal that promises satisfaction with every bite, look no further than Garlic Butter Steak and Potatoes.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Begin by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C). As your oven warms up, place the cubed potatoes in a large pot of salted water. Bring them to a boil and let them cook for 10-12 minutes until they’re tender. Once done, drain the potatoes and set them aside.
- While the potatoes are boiling, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season your steaks with salt and pepper on both sides. Carefully place the steaks in the skillet, allowing each side to sear for 3-4 minutes until a beautiful crust forms. Transfer the steaks from the skillet and let them rest, which intensifies their juiciness.
- In the same skillet, melt your unsalted butter over medium heat. Stir in the minced garlic and chopped rosemary. Let these aromatics cook for about 1-2 minutes until you catch a waft of their intoxicating fragrance.
- Add the boiled potatoes into the skillet with the garlic butter mixture. Toss them gently to coat, then allow them to cook for 4-5 minutes. The goal is to achieve that desirable crispy exterior on the potatoes.
- Slice your rested steak and serve it alongside the garlic butter potatoes. Finish by garnishing with freshly chopped parsley to add a burst of color and freshness to your dish.
Notes
Allow cooked steaks to rest for at least 5 minutes before slicing to retain their juices.
