Description

If you’re on the lookout for a delightful and hearty meal that promises satisfaction with every bite, look no further than Garlic Butter Steak and Potatoes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Begin by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C). As your oven warms up, place the cubed potatoes in a large pot of salted water. Bring them to a boil and let them cook for 10-12 minutes until they’re tender. Once done, drain the potatoes and set them aside.
  2. While the potatoes are boiling, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season your steaks with salt and pepper on both sides. Carefully place the steaks in the skillet, allowing each side to sear for 3-4 minutes until a beautiful crust forms. Transfer the steaks from the skillet and let them rest, which intensifies their juiciness.
  3. In the same skillet, melt your unsalted butter over medium heat. Stir in the minced garlic and chopped rosemary. Let these aromatics cook for about 1-2 minutes until you catch a waft of their intoxicating fragrance.
  4. Add the boiled potatoes into the skillet with the garlic butter mixture. Toss them gently to coat, then allow them to cook for 4-5 minutes. The goal is to achieve that desirable crispy exterior on the potatoes.
  5. Slice your rested steak and serve it alongside the garlic butter potatoes. Finish by garnishing with freshly chopped parsley to add a burst of color and freshness to your dish.

Notes

Allow cooked steaks to rest for at least 5 minutes before slicing to retain their juices.
