- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup toffee bits
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the yellow cake mix, melted butter, and egg to form a dough.
- Press two-thirds of the dough into the bottom of the baking pan to create the base layer.
- Sprinkle toffee bits over the pressed dough.
- In a saucepan, melt chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla over low heat until smooth.
- Pour melted chocolate mixture over the toffee bits and spread evenly.
- Crumble the remaining dough over the chocolate layer.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown, then cool before slicing.
Notes
Ensure the chocolate mixture is not too hot to avoid melting the toffee bits.
