Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup toffee bits
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the yellow cake mix, melted butter, and egg to form a dough.
  3. Press two-thirds of the dough into the bottom of the baking pan to create the base layer.
  4. Sprinkle toffee bits over the pressed dough.
  5. In a saucepan, melt chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla over low heat until smooth.
  6. Pour melted chocolate mixture over the toffee bits and spread evenly.
  7. Crumble the remaining dough over the chocolate layer.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown, then cool before slicing.

Notes

Ensure the chocolate mixture is not too hot to avoid melting the toffee bits.
