Description
A delightful treat combining the cool flavor of peppermint with rich chocolate coating.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 1/3 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- 2 cups dark or semi-sweet chocolate
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional)
- 2 tablespoons sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
- Begin by placing 3 cups of powdered sugar in a mixing bowl. Sprinkle in a pinch of salt. Gradually add in 1/3 cup of sweetened condensed milk. Use a spatula to combine until the mixture becomes a thick, sugary dough.
- Add in 1/2 teaspoon of peppermint extract and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Stir until you achieve a smooth and uniform mixture. Adjust consistency with powdered sugar if needed.
- Transfer the dough onto a lightly sugared surface. Knead gently for a minute or two until it is soft yet manageable.
- Roll out the dough to a thickness of about 1/4 inch. Cut out discs using a cookie cutter or glass, and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Chill the patties in the fridge for 30-45 minutes until firm.
- Melt your chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl or double boiler. Stir frequently to avoid burning. Add coconut oil for a better consistency if desired.
- Dip each firm patty into the melted chocolate, allowing excess to drip off, then place back on parchment paper.
- Optionally, sprinkle colorful sprinkles on top for a festive touch and let the chocolate harden.
