Description

Start your day off on the right foot with these mouthwatering Simple & Delicious Breakfast Bombs!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound breakfast sausage
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon milk or cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8-count)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • Chopped parsley (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. To begin, place a skillet over medium heat and add the breakfast sausage. Cook it slowly while breaking it apart into smaller crumbles. This ensures that your sausage gets browned and evenly cooked. Drain any excess grease from the skillet once the sausage is perfectly browned, and then set it aside.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs with milk, salt, and pepper until well combined. Now, switch to a non-stick skillet and pour in the egg mixture. Keep the heat at medium-low and gently stir the eggs as they cook, being careful not to overdo it; the goal here is soft, fluffy scrambled eggs.
  3. With the sausage cooked and eggs scrambled, it’s time to prepare your biscuit dough. Lightly flour your workspace to prevent sticking and take each biscuit from the can. Flatten each one into a 4-5 inch circle using a rolling pin.
  4. Now, you’ll need to fill each dough circle with a spoonful of your cooked sausage, a generous scoop of scrambled eggs, and a sprinkle of shredded cheddar cheese. Fold the dough over the filling and pinch the edges tightly to seal each bomb securely.
  5. Arrange your bombs seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops of the bombs with melted butter to promote browning and add extra flavor. Bake for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Once the bombs are baked to perfection, take them out of the oven and give them another brush of melted butter. Sprinkle with chopped parsley if desired. Let them cool slightly before serving.

Notes

These breakfast bombs are best enjoyed warm, and they’re perfect for sharing with family and friends!
