- 300g sirloin steak
- 2 tbsp white miso paste
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
- 150g soba noodles
- ½ cucumber, julienned
- 1 medium carrot, julienned
- ½ cup red cabbage, shredded
- 2 spring onions, thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
Instructions
- Marinate the steak with a mixture of miso paste, soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger for at least 30 minutes.
- Cook soba noodles in boiling water for 5-7 minutes, then drain and rinse under cold water.
- In a large bowl, combine cooled soba noodles with cucumber, carrot, red cabbage, and spring onions; toss with reserved marinade.
- Sear the marinated steak in a hot skillet for 2-3 minutes per side until cooked to your liking, then let it rest before slicing.
- Serve sliced steak over noodle salad, garnished with sesame seeds.
Notes
Experiment with different proteins and vegetables as variations. To enhance flavor, let the steak marinate longer.
