  • Author: Alioui
  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Description

A vibrant and delicious dish with a perfect balance of spice and zest!

Ingredients

  • Linguine Pasta: 8 oz
  • Raw Prawns: 1 lb, peeled and deveined
  • Sriracha Sauce: 2 tablespoons
  • Lime: 1, juice and zest
  • Garlic: 3 cloves, minced
  • Olive Oil: 2 tablespoons
  • Chili Flakes: ½ teaspoon (optional)
  • Parsley: 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Salt: to taste
  • Black Pepper: to taste

Instructions

  1. Begin by bringing a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Once boiling, carefully add the linguine and cook according to package instructions until it’s al dente. Save about ½ cup of the pasta water before you drain it.
  2. While your linguine is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and chili flakes (if using). Sauté for about 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Add the raw prawns to the skillet. Cook for about 2–3 minutes each side until they turn pink and opaque.
  4. Stir in the Sriracha sauce, lime juice, and lime zest. If the mixture feels too thick, slowly incorporate the reserved pasta water until you achieve desired consistency.
  5. Add the drained linguine to the skillet. Gently toss to coat. Adjust salt and black pepper to taste.
  6. Remove from heat and sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

For more flavor, marinate the prawns in Sriracha and lime juice for 15-20 minutes before cooking.
