- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup apple cider
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chopped dried apples
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar, for rolling
Instructions
- To start, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a medium bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and salt.
- In a separate mixing bowl, beat together the softened butter and brown sugar until the mixture turns light and fluffy. Incorporate the egg, apple cider, and vanilla extract, mixing just until everything is well-blended.
- Gradually blend the dry mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined. Stir in the chopped dried apples. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls, and coat each ball with granulated sugar.
- Place the sugar-coated dough balls onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until their edges achieve a light golden hue.
- Let the cookies rest on the baking sheet for about five minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Cookies can be frozen for up to three months. Ensure the butter is adequately softened before creaming with sugar.
